Operation Sweaters For Veterans

Each year on November 11th, Americans throughout the world commemorate Veterans Day, a day set aside to thank the nation’s veterans for service given and sacrifices made to protect the freedoms of this great country. Participating Veterans & Family Memorial Care Providers nationwide are proud to sponsor “Operation Sweaters for Veterans”, a unique way to honor these heroes. Beginning November 1st thru Veterans Day November 11th participating VFMC Providers collect new or gently used sweaters & gloves to be donated and delivered to deserving veterans that are in VA hospitals or Veterans Homes nationwide. Please locate the VFMC provider nearest you and help keep our veterans warm and comfortable.

Christmas Stockings For Soldiers

Thousands of soldiers stationed all over the world enjoy a little taste of home and some Christmas cheer for the holidays thanks to participating Veterans & Family Memorial Care Providers. Communities nationwide rally in support of “Christmas Stockings For Soldiers” by visiting their participating VFMC Provider to pick-up a free Christmas stocking to take home, decorate and fill with Christmas goodies. The stockings are returned to the funeral homes and shipped by them to platoons overseas in time for Christmas.

Operation Valentine

“Thank you so much for what you do. We always need you.” That’s just one of the many sweet messages from the heart of a child to a soldier overseas in Veterans & Family Memorial Care’s “Operation Valentine.” Students in elementary schools nationwide and people in the community write messages to the troops on Valentine cards, cut-out hearts, or whatever they like. Participating Veterans & Family Memorial Care providers make sure they are delivered to our soldiers all around the world where U.S. troops are stationed. Our heroes are away from loved ones so they really want to know that people back home appreciate them. A care package is great but sentiments from people back home is a real morale boost.
